(Spectators can view the open water fin, SOI Obstacle Course, SOI Football field, Horno pool, Horno O'Course and Horno range across from the Horno O'Course)

1700: Drop dead time for teams
1800: Awards Ceremony at San Onofre Beach ball field/playground located above the beach next to all the cottages.

The Recon Challenge like every year is dedicated to our Fallen Operators. This Marine would have died and would give his life during the Recon Challenge for the love of his Fallen Team Leader that was KIA in Afghanistan. This is WHY we do the Recon Challenge and to continue to build the camaraderie and brotherhood with such a small close tight-knit group of Warriors. It should not be during a funeral service that we get to collectively see each other. The Recon Challenge is our Recon community. It is OUR Recon Challenge."
